Education

Robert is a graduate of Western University (UWO) and the University of Toronto (OISE). He completed his undergraduate degree specializing in French (B.A.) and became a French teacher (B.Ed.). In 1990, Robert completed his Master’s in Education (M.Ed.) with a focus on computers and pursued opportunities within the private sector combining technology and education. Robert’s motto throughout his career has been “committed to lifelong learning” and as a result, he has continually enrolled in a variety of work-related courses to enhance his skills and knowledge.

In 2003, Robert embarked on a new career in property management, and with this change, education became a focal point. While learning on the job as a new condominium property manager, Robert enrolled in ACMO’s Registered Condominium Manager (RCM) program, which he completed in 2006. Robert has been instructing ACMO’s Condominium Law course ever since. Robert has received Workplace Hazardous Materials Information Systems (WHMIS) training and has been a licensed RealtorĀ® since 2010. As an RCM and Realtor, Robert is required to attend professional development sessions on an on-going basis, and in doing so, pursues his learning credits by attending a variety of in-class and on-line courses, related to condominiums, real estate and property management.

In 2013, Robert Buckler attended a course offered by the Institute of Corporate Directors and the Rotman School of Management (University of Toronto) called Governance Essentials Program for Directors of Not-for-Profit (NFP) Organizations (NFP Program) to enhance his knowledge and techniques related to NFP Boards, which include condominium corporation boards. This course provided him with additional skills and knowledge to assist condominium corporation boards and when he serves as a Court-Appointed Administrator for condominium corporations.
